Join us as we congratulate Logan Lima, who recently joined Harness as a Territory Development Representative! Here, he shares part of his story with us.

“I come from a Brazilian-Colombian household. My parents spoke both Spanish and Portuguese at home. They instilled in me the values of working hard and appreciating the opportunity to be here in the United States. My dad moved here when he was 28 and started his own company, so I grew up seeing the American Dream play out in my own house. This motivated me to work hard and to show up.

I grew up practicing Japanese Jiu Jitsu, basically since I could walk. Also, being Brazilian, I had three choices of sport: soccer, soccer, or soccer. So, naturally, I also played soccer. But, playing sports also fortified my parents’ lesson of working hard. In sports, there are hills and valleys when you win or lose and these experiences really helped develop my character.

After college I landed in the real estate industry, which I really enjoyed. It was through a connection there that I was introduced to BreakLine Education while I was thinking about pivoting to a new career in tech.

Alexandra Downey and Brandon Self introduced me to Harness, because they felt my personality and experience would be a good fit, and I’m so glad they did! One of the biggest things that drew me to Harness is how diverse they are – I truly believe innovation comes from diversity. When I finally got the offer letter, I felt really humbled and honored that they chose me. I couldn’t be happier!

My advice to current BreakLiners, is to trust the process. Also, realize that the BreakLine team is your biggest advocate! They will take the time to get to know you and will find roles that fit you best. It’s like taking advice from a good friend or counselor.”

Congratulations again, Logan, and to the rest of the team at Harness for this match!
