We are excited to spotlight BreakLine Education alum Jarell Johnson, who recently accepted a position as a Technical Program Manager with Drata! Here is part of his story:
“I grew up in Port Allen, LA and am the middle child of five. I developed an interest in information technology when I was 10 years old. My mother purchased a computer for all of us to share. I learned how to code and create online artwork, and my knowledge of computers continued to grow.
I attended Southern University A&M College, a Historically Black College and University (HBCU), where my coursework spanned computer hardware, computer languages, and software development. The challenging environment brought out the best in me.
After graduating, I performed well across several positions in different organizations within the Department of Defense. I was promoted to program manager of a data management lifecycle program. The values and morals my parents instilled in me, set me up for success. I still live by them today.
BreakLine introduced me to Drata. I researched their origin story, and was drawn to their growth trajectory, and what they have accomplished as a startup. I am looking forward to leveraging my skillset to advance their mission!”
Congrats Jarell, Ari Mojiri, Erin B., and the entire Drata team for this win!
