Please join us in congratulating Michael Israelitt, who recently joined Anduril Industries as a Mission Operations Engineer. Read some of his story here!
“I grew up in the Midwest, and attended the University of Nevada – Las Vegas, where I studied hospitality management. I also joined Air Force ROTC, which allowed me to commission as a Tactical Air Control Party (TACP) Officer in 2015.
I served seven years in the Air Force, and deployed twice to Afghanistan during that time.
I gained a lot of operational experience which I felt would translate well to the tech industry. I ended up meeting Karina Roger at a buddy’s wedding. She explained what BreakLine was about, and that kicked off my journey.
At first, I was hesitant about jobs in the defense tech sector. I thought I wanted to separate from my previous experiences in the military and branch out to something different – start a new adventure.
However, one of the BreakLine values is having a bias towards yes, so that’s exactly what I did. I went into the first interview with Anduril, and had a really positive experience! I was impressed with everyone, and I was genuinely drawn to the culture. Anduril’s mission also resonated with my personal values. I knew this would be a good fit.
My advice to anyone going through BreakLine, is to utilize all of the resources available to you. I relied heavily on Natalia Peddycoart during this process. I initially struggled with how to articulate my experience in a way that made sense outside of the military, but she showed me how to explain it in a way that was valuable. I found success by applying all of the tools I learned.”
Congratulations again to Izzy, Khouanchay Richardson, Aaron Tibbetts, Evan Roddenberry, and the entire team at Anduril Industries for this exceptional match!
