Congratulations to BreakLine Education alum, Ashanti Jackson, who accepted a Product Manager position with First Republic Bank! Check out his story!:

“I was a student-athlete in college, so after graduating I was looking to contribute to a team. Understanding how to collaborate with others is the biggest part of my success. I know what I bring to the table and I’m also hungry to learn.

I started building my product management career within the chemistry informatics space. I was part of a small, but mighty, team, and worked my way up, learning what our client needed.

I then pivoted into building products that optimized the fundraising experience for non-profits. I didn’t have a fundraising background, but I found that you must be tenacious, willing to learn, and have a zero-to-sixty mindset in order to hit the ground running.

All of this led me to the doorstep of BreakLine. I navigated this process with their team by my side, championing my experiences so that I could remain focused.

When they connected me with First Republic Bank and I learned about FRB’s core values, such as accountability, integrity, transparency, and supporting the team, I knew I had found my next role. 

During the interview process, there were a lot of relationship-based questions, and the focus was on understanding the team and how team chemistry would come together.

Their emphasis was right in line with what I was looking for. Product management can be an incredibly complex environment. You are not developing products and key performance indicators to change things overnight; you’re working with complicated systems, you’re working cross-functionally, and the team is very important in order to create enduring success. I’m thrilled about this new path!”
