• Authentication tokens: Stored locally in your browser to maintain your login session
• Two-factor authentication codes: Processed during login but not stored

2. Profile Information from LinkedIn

• Names: First and last names extracted from LinkedIn profile pages you visit
• Profile URLs: LinkedIn profile URLs from pages you are actively viewing
• Email addresses: If publicly available on LinkedIn profiles (optional)

3. Technical Information

• Extension usage data: Anonymous usage analytics collected via PostHog to improve the Extension
• Error reports: Diagnostic information sent to Sentry when errors occur to help us fix bugs

How We Use Your Information

We use the collected information solely for the following purposes:

1. Authentication: To verify your identity and provide secure access to the BreakLine platform
2. Participant Lookup: To search the BreakLine database for participants matching LinkedIn profiles you view
3. Service Improvement: To analyze usage patterns and fix technical issues
4. Security: To protect against unauthorized access and ensure data integrity

Data Storage and Security

• Local Storage: Only authentication tokens are stored locally on your device using Chrome's secure storage API
• No Profile Data Storage: LinkedIn profile information is not stored locally or persistently; it is only used for real-time lookups
• Secure Transmission: All data transmitted between the Extension and BreakLine servers uses HTTPS encryption
• AWS Cognito: Authentication is handled by AWS Cognito with industry-standard security practices

Data Sharing and Third Parties

We do not sell, trade, or transfer your information to third parties. Data is only shared with:

• BreakLine Platform API: Profile information is sent to our own servers for participant lookup
• AWS Cognito: Authentication credentials are processed by AWS Cognito for secure login
• PostHog: Anonymous usage analytics are sent to PostHog for product improvement
• Sentry: Error reports and diagnostic data are sent to Sentry for debugging purposes

These third-party services are used solely to provide and improve the Extension's functionality and are bound by their own privacy policies.

Data Retention

• Authentication tokens: Retained in local storage until you log out or clear browser data
• Profile data: Not retained; only used for immediate lookup and then discarded
• Analytics data: Retained by PostHog according to their retention policies
• Error logs: Retained by Sentry for up to 90 days for debugging purposes

Your Rights and Choices

You have the right to:

• Access: Request information about what data we have collected
• Delete: Clear locally stored data by logging out or removing the Extension
• Opt-out: Uninstall the Extension at any time to stop data collection
• Withdraw consent: Log out to revoke access to your authentication credentials
