We’re happy to spotlight Ricardo Anciola, who accepted a role as a Sales Development Representative with Attentive! Here is part of his story:
“I was born in Mexico City, and moved to Austin when I was 8 years old. My dad envisioned a better life for us.
My older brother was recruited to West Point to play football. Watching him sparked my interest in the military. As a first-generation Mexican-American, I found that military service was a powerful opportunity to give back to the country that had given us so much.
The opportunity to serve was one of the biggest blessings in my life. I developed lifelong friendships and my own character as well. The decision to leave the Army was hard, but I wanted to better align my personal and professional lives. My fiancé is in medicine, and I wanted to better support her career as well as develop my own.
Some of my best friends from West Point introduced me to BreakLine, and it was a great opportunity! Brandon Self introduced me to Attentive, and I was drawn to the fact that they have a really structured sales team. I wanted to join a team that would empower me, and Attentive proved that they would invest in my learning.
Attentive has been fantastic! I’ve had an exponential learning curve since joining.
My advice for BreakLiners coming from the military into tech, is to remember that there will be a learning process. Allow yourself to feel some of the pain points, and grow through them. Have confidence in knowing that the initial struggles you may experience will subside.”
Ricardo, we’re so happy for you! Congrats to you, Maddie Elkus, and the rest of the team at Attentive for this great fit!
